Chappie update — October 29, 2026: Available for iPhone and Android. The annual plan for new US customers is US$129.99, billed once a year. Prices and offers vary by region, store and retained plan; check your price and usage allowances before purchase. Eligible trials renew as paid subscriptions unless cancelled.
If you use Poe to reach several AI models, an alternative should preserve the part of that workflow you value. Changing apps just to exchange one confusing allowance for another is not much of an improvement.
This guide was reviewed on October 30, 2026 using official documentation. Chappie’s developer publishes this guide, so it is not an independent ranking. We separate our own product’s features from the alternatives and explain when a different category may fit better.
First, identify what you are replacing
Are you looking for a different allowance, a better phone workflow, answer comparison, a particular official-product feature, or control of your own API keys? These are different decisions. Before moving important work, check whether the destination supports the files, conversation behavior and model access you actually need. Do not assume your history or custom bots will transfer automatically.
Four routes to consider
| Route | Best reason to investigate | Boundary to check |
|---|---|---|
| Stay with Poe | Its existing model and bot workflow fits your needs | Compute points, plan allowance and reset behavior |
| Chappie | Compare answers and switch models in one iPhone/Android history | Available models, included usage and separate subscription |
| Official ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini product | You need that provider’s particular tools or environment | Its current plan and model/tool limits |
| A bring-your-own-key client | You want to choose and manage API access yourself | Client features, provider API billing and key handling |
A bring-your-own-key client is a category, not a guarantee that any particular app supports your phone or models. Verify the chosen client before entering credentials. A consumer subscription does not automatically pay its API charges.
Understand Poe’s allowance before comparing price
Poe’s official purchases FAQ describes subscriptions with compute points. Allocation, resets and purchase management depend on the plan and purchase channel. Check your current Settings and the official FAQ; do not treat a quoted point total from an old article as the offer you will receive.
The fairest cost comparison is the offer you can buy now, for the amount and type of use you expect. Points, requests, tokens and premium credits are not interchangeable units.
Where Chappie fits
Chappie is an independent app for iPhone and Android that combines models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and DeepSeek. You can compare answers to the same question, change models during a conversation and keep a unified history. See the workflow and plan guide before deciding.
Its subscription does not include subscriptions to Poe, ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro or Google AI Pro. Check the available model list, usage allowances and any eligible trial terms in Chappie before purchase. If your priority is a tool exclusive to an official provider’s product, compare that official product directly.
A practical switching checklist
- Retain copies of work you need, using only export methods your current service supports.
- Try a small set of your usual questions in the candidate product.
- Check answer quality and source support; several agreeing models can still be wrong.
- Confirm the features and allowance in the offer shown to your account.
- Review data handling and the original subscription’s renewal/cancellation rules separately.
